Butterflies are attracted to this area by a variety of Buddleia, scabious and other butterfly-friendly plants.

The area is covered with weed-suppressant matting and chipped bark to control the growth of ‘horsetail’.  A circle of log seats has been added to create an area suitable for use by small groups.

Each year, Chipping in Bloom takes part in the Big Butterfly Count.
