Bee and Butterfly Bed

The Bee and Butterfly Bed is set with a mass of plants rich in pollen and nectar to attract a diverse range of bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.  The aim is to have plants flowering each day of the year so that there is a source of nectar and pollen throughout the seasons.

In spring the Bed is alive with colours and scents, for example crocus and Hellebores in flower. In summer and autumn, flowers that attract bees, butterflies and other insects include Buddleia, poppies, asters, roses and Salvia.

We have recently reviewed and renewed our Bee and Butterfly Bed and the new plant list can be downloaded here.
