About Chipping in Bloom

The Chipping in Bloom Group meets every Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening throughout spring and summer, and we can be found gardening at various locations around the village.

Our home is at St Mary’s Community Hall, Longridge Road, PR3 2QD.

Chipping in Bloom volunteers look after many of the floral displays, wildlife areas and other planting in the village.

Planting and maintenance

We make and sell crafts and propagate plants for sale at local events.

Fundraising

We share our skills, and learn new ones, such as willow weaving.

Chipping in Bloom continues to work with the Parish Council, local businesses, local authority and developers to maintain and improve the appearance of the village. We repair and paint planters and benches, working with the Parish Council to raise funds for new street furniture.
